Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCS) is a public state university which is located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh 250001, India. Formerly this university was known as Meerut University before it was renamed to its current name after Chaudhary Charan Singh, former Prime minister of India. The university celebrated its silver jubilee in 1991.

Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCS University) has diverse schools of study namely, sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Engineering. M.Phil and Ph.D. programs which were started in 1969. In 1973, the university introduced some Post Graduate level courses with modernized syllabi.

CCS Ph.D. Course Eligibility:

Admission to a Ph.D. research program is offered only to the candidate with a master's degree scoring 60% Marks in aggregate."
Final selection for the Ph.D. course will be done on the basis of the written test then followed by an interview cum presentation where students have to prepare a presentation to represent at the front of the panel.
