About Annamalai University

Annamalai University Directorate of Distance Education; one of the most popular public distance learning universities in India was established in the year 1979 in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu. There are a plethora of distance programs offered by Annamalai University.

Earlier the university was approved by UGC but then due to some issues UGC canceled the recognition, so it is neither UGC approved nor by the Distance Education Board.

Since it is not recognized by UGC, the degrees offered by Annamalai University DDE have no significance. We are mentioning the name of this college here in our list because many candidates asked about this college as it is still ranked as one of the top distance education universities in India by many ranking forums and websites however the UGC withdrew its approval in 2018, since then the degree offered by the university is not considered valid.

Sikkim Manipal University is a private university incepted in the year 2001, it is one of the most prominent distance learning universities in India.
