Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE), is a state-level exam conducted by Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), for students desirous of gaining admission into professional UG/PG level courses. This article will specifically deal with the UPSEE B.Tech Entrance Exam. Bachelor of Technology is a skill-oriented course, aimed at providing students with a sound knowledge base in Engineering. UPSEE B.Tech Entrance Exam is an offline examination, conducted once a year. It is widely accepted in many colleges affiliated with AKTU and others in Uttar Pradesh.
Candidates should have passed 12th grade with an aggregate of 45% in the science stream (Physics, Maths, English and Biology/Chemistry).
There is no age limit to appear in the UPSEE B.Tech Entrance Exam.
For Lateral Entry, candidates need to complete a three-year engineering diploma from a recognized university. They must score a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.

AKTU will provide the UPSEE B.Tech Entrance Admit Card on 27th April. Students must download the admit card from the official website of UPSEE. Students must take a coloured printout to take with them to the examination centre. Admit cards provide the basic details such as the Name of the candidate, photograph, exam date, time, venue, etc. No student will be permitted in the examination centre without the admit card. Students must also carry a Photo ID with them to the examination centre.
Below are the steps the student must follow to download the admit card:
Step-1: Visit the official website of UPSEE
Step-2: Click on the admit card link, provided on the page
Step-3: Enter your details, Application number, Date of Birth, Security Pin
Step-4: Once the data is submitted, your admit card will appear on the screen. You must download it and save it in multiple places and take out printouts. Admit cards are very important
The concerned authorities release the UPSEE B.Tech Entrance Exam result in the first week of June. The result is always released online on its official website. Detailed information in each subject and the marks the student has obtained are all listed. The result can be viewed once the student fills out the application number and password.
Candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks are then granted seats according to the seat allotment. For seat allotment, selected candidates need to register as well.
For the last two years, UPSEE releases the answer key on the same day as the entrance exam. The candidate can predict his score based on the UPSEE B.Tech Entrance Exam answer key. It is in PDF- format, which allows the student easy access.
If, however, the student finds any problem with the answer key, he/she may write an e-mail to the concerned authorities in the proper format.
Note: Both the UPSEE entrance exam answer key and the UPSEE Entrance exam result will be released on the official website of UPSEE. Students can view them easily.
