1) NDA

NDA is the most pursued defence exam in India. This exam is conducted by UPSC for admission to National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy courses. This exam is held twice a year. Only unmarried candidates aged between 16 and a half and 19 and a half are eligible for NDA exams.

Educational qualifications for NDA exams are:

For Army- 
Candidates must have finished their class 12th or equivalent from a recognized board with minimum qualifying marks.

For Navy, Air Force & Naval Academy of National Defence Academy-
Candidates must have completed their class 12th with Maths, Chemistry, and Physics. 

2) CDS

Combined Defence Services is a national-level competitive exam for students who want to make their career in the Navy, Army, or Air Force. Students with graduate degrees in engineering are eligible for this exam.

3) AFCAT

The Air Force Common Admission Test commonly known as AFCAT is conducted by IAF. This exam is held twice a year to select Class-1 officers in flying and ground duty for both technical and non-technical branches.

4) SSB

SSB exam is conducted to recruit officers in Sashastra Seema Bal. The minimum qualification for appearing for these exams is Graduation with minimum qualifying marks from government-recognized institutions or universities.

5) Airforce X/Y Group

This exam is conducted by the Indian Air Force (IAF) for recruiting aspirants into Airmen Group X & Y positions. The minimum qualification for taking this exam is 12th class or equivalent from a recognized board.

6) Indian Navy Agneeveer

Indian Navy Agneeveer exam is held for recruiting aspirants for the post of Indian Navy SSR, MR, and AA.

7) MNS

The Military Nursing Service (MNS) exam is for female aspirants who want to join the armed forces as nurses. Aspirants who have completed their 12th class including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as required subjects are eligible for MNS exams.
