Note: After B.Tech, if students want to go for higher studies then they can join M.tech or MBA.
On average, A engineer who has just started to earn or is fresher than he can earn up to 2.5 lakh to 3.5 lakh per annum in India. But, if he is interested in moves to abroad, then he may earn around 80000 to 100000 per annum.
After completing your B.Tech one can go for higher studies and opt for M.Tech that stands for Masters of technology. M.Tech is a postgraduate course under engineering. The duration of this course is 2 years. One who is going to join M.Tech must have been completed his or her B.Tech with a good percentage.

On average, A engineer who has completed his or her master's degree can get a salary package from 5 lakh to 6 lakh per annum.
BCA 3 years undergraduate degree course in computer applications which is done after completing your 10+2 degree. After completing BCA a student can go for Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) as a masters course in the IT sector and MCA is equal to the engineering course (B.Tech).
The eligibility criteria to apply for this course is a minimum of 17 years which can be exceeded to 20-25 years. The candidate must have passed his or her 12th with a minimum of 50% and he or she should have English and Maths as compulsory subjects.
Different universities and colleges use to conduct entrance exams on their own in which different criteria is set for the entrance test. Some colleges take the admission on the basis of class 12th marks.
Today not only in India but in abroad countries the demand for IT professionals has increased so rapidly. Reputed companies like Google, IBM, Infosys, etc are hiring IT professionals at higher posts.
There are so many career options after completing BCA as a course like- web developer, engineer, system administrator or junior programmer, etc.
Not only in private but in the public sector to this field provides ample jobs to the students. Same as in government organizations like Indian Army, NIC, India Navy, Indian Air Force also use to recruit a large number of computer professionals for their IT department.
Once your course is get completed then according to your skills you are paid in an IT field with a different salary.
If you are selected in an MNC then your starting package will be from Rs.25,000 to Rs.40,000.
And if you are appointed as a fresher in giant companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Google then you can easily get a six-figure salary at the starting.
MCA is a postgraduate information technology course whose duration is 3 years which is done after completing BCA. This course is also divided into 6 semesters which have different subjects in that, in 1st year the aim is at the skill development in the computer by using various techniques, in 2nd year the focus is on the conceptual framework and in last year i.e in 3rd year the focus is on specialization and on project works.
It is compulsory to have a bachelor's degree in computer applications from any institution. The student who wants to apply for the MCA course should have maths as the main subject in class 12th. And the most important thing is that the candidate should have a minimum of 50% to 60% marks in his or her qualifying examination.
Once you complete your master's in computer application then on average your per annum salary package will be around 3.5 lakh.
If you have joined any organization as a fresher then your monthly package will be 25k to 30k. If you are getting selected through your campus placement then your salary will be around 15,000 to 25,000/month.
