OSSC Exam: The OSSC Exam will be conducted by the Odisha Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment of the candidates to the Group B and Group C posts of different Departments of the Odisha Government.

The OSSC Exam 2024 will be managed by the OSSC Commission and the Chairman of the Commission handles the entire recruitment process. The different posts for which the candidates can apply in the Odisha Staff Selection Commission exam include Laboratory Assistant, Constable, Translator, Junior Engineer, Weaving Supervisor, Primary Investigator, Staff Nurse, Research Assistant, Auditor, Data Entry Operator, Junior Motor Vehicles Inspector, Traffic Constable, Assistant Librarian, Programmer, etc.

There are a total of 211 posts for OSSC and eligible candidates can apply for their desired vacancies online. The selection procedure for the OSSC exam is the Preliminary test, Mains test, and Personal interview. Candidates have to qualify for each stage of the exam to move on to the next stage.

Eligibility criteria of OSSC Exam 2024

  • Candidates must pass the Class 12 exams in Arts/Science/Commerce from a recognized Institute.
  • Candidates must qualify for the Odia exam as the ME standards.
  • Candidates must have computer knowledge for some posts.
  • Some posts require the candidates to have a Graduation degree.

Eligibility Criteria for OSSC Traffic Constable

  • Candidates must pass the 10+2 Board exams/equivalent from a recognized Institute or University.
  • Candidates must pass the ME Standard/RSC Exam with Odia as the compulsory language.

Eligibility Criteria for OSSC Assistant Librarian

  • Candidates with the age limit of 21 to 32 can apply for the post of Assistant Librarian.
  • Candidates must qualify for the Masters's Degree program in library and information science.
  • Candidates must have basic knowledge of Computer Applications.
  • Candidates must qualify for the ME/Intermediate exam with Odia as a compulsory subject.

Eligibility Criteria for OSSC Staff Nurse

  • Candidates must qualify for the Class 12 exam in the Science stream or have a B.Sc degree.
  • Only female candidates can apply for the program.

Eligibility Criteria for Odisha Staff Selection Commission Assistant Scientific Officer

  • Candidates who have completed M.Sc/M.Tech/M.An in Psychology from a recognized University with 50% aggregate.
  • Candidates must have Odia as a compulsory language in Class 12/M.E Exam in Odia/passed a test in Odia in ME School standard by the Education Department, Government of Odisha.

Eligibility Criteria for  Odisha Staff Selection Commission Junior Fisheries Technical Assistant

  • Candidates must qualify for the Class 12 exam (Vocational- Fisheries) from a recognized University.
  • Candidates must know about swimming.
  • Candidates who have qualified for the Class 10+2 Board exams in Science from a recognized Institute (this qualification is applicable if candidates with 10+2 (Vocational- Fisheries) is not available.
  • Candidates must pass the ME/RSC Exam with Odia as the compulsory subject.

Eligibility Criteria for Odisha Staff Selection Commission Sub Inspector

  • Candidates must qualify for a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Institute.
  • Candidates must have Odia as the compulsory subject in the ME/RSC Exam.

OSSC Staff Nurse Post for Different Categories

OSSC X-Ray

  • Candidates must qualify for the Class 12 exams from a recognized Board.
  • Candidates must have a Diploma in Medical Radiation Technology.

OSSC ECG

  • Candidates must qualify for the Class 12 exams in Science from a recognized Board.
  • Candidates must have experience of 2 years.

OSSC Junior Assistant

  • The age limit of the candidates must be 21 to 32 years (5-year relaxation for SC/ST/SEBC/Women candidates, 10-year relaxation for PwD candidates).
  • Candidates must qualify for the Bachelor’s Degree program in Arts/Science/Commerce from a recognized University.
  • Candidates must have knowledge of Computers.
  • Candidates must pass the Class 12/ME exam with Odia as the compulsory language.

Qualification for OSSC Laboratory Technician

  • Candidates must pass the Class 10+2 exams from Odisha/equivalent Council of Higher Secondary Education.
  • Candidates must pass a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from Government Medical College/Hospitals or any Private Institute recognized by the Government of Odisha/All India Council of Technical Education.

Eligibility for OSSC Weaving Supervisor

  • Candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • The minimum age of the candidates must be 20 years and the maximum age of 32 years (5 years relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ST category and 10 years relaxation for candidates belonging to PwD category.
  • Candidates must pass the Diploma in Handloom Technology/Weaving Technology from IIHT or a Government recognized Institute.
  • Candidates must have passed middle school/high school/M.E School Standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department. He/she must be able to read, write and speak in Odia.

Eligibility for OSSC Small Savings and FInancial inclusion Officer

  • The minimum age of the candidates must be 21 years and the maximum age 32 years (5-year relaxation for SC/ST/women candidates and 10-year relaxation for PwD candidates).
  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
  • Candidates must be proficient in using computers and must have knowledge of the internet, e, mail, word processing, data analysis, and presentation.
  • Candidates must be able to read, write and speak in Odia.

Eligibility for OSSC Revenue Inspector/ Assistant Revenue Inspector

  • Candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • The minimum age of the candidates must be 21 years and the maximum age of the candidates must be 32 years. (5-year relaxation for SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman/women candidates and 10-year relaxation for PwD candidates).
  • Candidates must complete a Bachelor's Degree from a Government recognized Institution.
  • No prior work experience is required.

Eligibility for OSSC Statistical Assistant

  • Candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • The minimum age limit of the candidates must be 21 years and the maximum age must be 32 years (5 years relaxation for SC/ST/women candidates and 10 years relaxation for PwD candidates.

  • Candidates must complete their 10+2 exams from a recognized Institution and qualify for the BCA/B.Tech exams with 55% aggregate.
  • Candidates must be able to read and write Odia.

OSSC Combined Auditor

  • The minimum and the maximum age of the candidates must not exceed 21 years and 32 years respectively(5-year relaxation for SC/ST/women candidates and 10-year relaxation for PwD candidates.
  • Candidates must be Graduate in any discipline from a Government recognized Institute.
  • Candidates must have basic Computer qualifications from a recognized University.
  • Candidates must have Odia as the compulsory language in Higher Secondary exams or Odia as a language in Class VII.
  • Candidates must be a citizen of India and have a good moral character.

Field Assistant Criteria for OSSC Exam 2024

  • Candidates must be within the age limit of 20 to 32 years.
  • Candidates must be Indian National.
  • Candidates must have a B.Sc degree in any of the following disciplines- Biology/Zoology/Botany/Bioscience/Microbiology/Bioinformatics/Statistics/Life Sciences from a Government recognized Institute.
  • Candidates must know how to read, write and speak Odia.
  • No prior work experience is required.

Market Intelligence Inspector Criteria for OSSC Exam 2024

  • Candidates must be Indian nationals.
  • The minimum and maximum age limits of the candidates are 21 years and 32 years respectively.
  • Candidates must complete the Bachelor’s Degree exam in any discipline in Economics/Statistics/Mathematics as the compulsory subjects.
