HP TET Exam: The Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HPTET) is organized by the Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education. HP TET Exam is a state board exam that is conducted to recruit skilled teachers for both the Private and Government schools in Himachal Pradesh. HP TET 2025 Exam is conducted twice a year. First in the month of June and second in November. By qualifying for the HP TET Exam 2025, candidates can become eligible for TGT, JBT, and LT posts.

HP TET Exam 2025: Highlights

The HP TET Exam 2025 is an offline Pen-paper based exam that incorporates objective-type questions.
The exam has a total of 150 questions which have to be completed in 2 hours 30 minutes.
In terms of the marking scheme, there are a total of 150 questions containing 1 mark each. However, for any wrong answer, no marks will be deducted.
To qualify for the HP TET 2025, candidates have to obtain a minimum aggregate score of 60% marks.

Eligibility criteria for HP TET Exam 2025 vary according to the stream and the subject opted by the candidates for the exam. The given underneath table below contains the eligibility criteria for various disciplines. Take a look.

Shastri	Shastri with minimum marks of 50% from a recognized university by the H.P. Government.
TGT (Arts)	B.A./B.Com. having a minimum score of 50% and 1-year B.Ed. or B.Ed. with special education, OR 12th or equivalent with a minimum score of 50% and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
TGT (Medical)	B.Sc.(Medical) having a minimum score of 50% and 1-year B. Ed or B. Ed. in Special Education, OR 10+2 or equivalent with minimum marks of 50% and 4-years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.) or B. Sc. (Medical Ed.)
TGT (Non-Medical)	B.Sc.(NM) having a minimum score of 50% and 1-year B. Ed or B. Ed. in Special Education, OR 10+2 or equivalent with minimum marks of 50% and 4-years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.) or B.Sc. (NM Ed.)

Important Points for HP TET 2025:

There is no upper age limit that is specified by the Board to give the HP TET Exam 2025.
Relaxation is there for the SC/ST/OBC/PHH candidates. HP TET Exam has a relaxation of up to 5% for the specific candidates.
The candidates who are pursuing any teacher training programs in their course final year and which is recognized by NCTE/RCI are also eligible to apply for HP TET 2025 Exam.
If any candidates qualify for the TET but not fulfilling the eligibility conditions could lead to non-consideration for an appointment.
