JTET Exam 2025

Jharkhand TET or the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted for primary teaching positions in the state of Jharkhand. The JTET 2025 Exam is conducted every year by the Jharkhand Academic Council. The Application for primary teaching jobs in Jharkhand is an online process.

JTET Exam Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the selection of Primary and Upper Primary Teachers in the JTET Examination are decided by the Academic Council of Jharkhand. The candidates who get selected in the JTET Exams will get jobs as teachers in the state-run schools in Jharkhand.

The  JTET 2025 Exam eligibility criteria are divided into 2 sections. The candidates who want to apply for the role of teachers in the Primary Classes ( I to V ) will appear for JTET Paper I while the candidates who want to apply for the role of Upper Primary teachers (Classes VI to VIII) in the state schools of Jharkhand will appear for the Paper-II Exam of JTET.

Eligibility Criteria for JTET 2025 Exam Paper 1 ( Classes I to V)

• Candidates have qualified for the higher secondary exams with a minimum of 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
• Candidates have qualified for the higher secondary or equivalent exams with a minimum of 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in  Elementary Education as approved by the NCTE.
• Candidates have qualified for the Senior Secondary or equivalent exams with a minimum of 50% marks and a 4-year Diploma in Elementary education. 
• Bachelor’s Degree ( B.A/ B.Sc ) with a minimum aggregate of 50% and Bachelor of Education( B. Ed) from a recognized Institute.

Eligibility Criteria for Jharkhand TET 2025 Paper 2 ( Classes VI to VIII)

• Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A/B.Sc) ) and a 1 Year Bachelor of Education ( B.Ed) degree.
• Candidates should score a minimum of 45% marks in Graduation and 1 year Degree in B.Ed as accredited by NCTE.
• Candidates should score a minimum of 50% marks and a B.Ed degree in Special Education.
• Candidates have qualified for the higher secondary exam with an aggregate of 50 % and a 4-year degree in B.A, B. Ed or B.Sc, B.Ed.
• Candidates have scored 50% marks in higher secondary exams and 4 year Degree in Bachelor of Elementary Education.

Jharkhand TET 2025 Exam is a popular examination for admission of candidates in Primary or Upper Primary teaching positions in Government schools of Jharkhand. Only those candidates who fit the above-mentioned eligibility criteria can apply for the JTET Exams on the official website of the JTET authorities. 

The candidates who do not fit the eligibility criteria for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test 2025 should not apply as their applications will be rejected by the Jharkhand Academic Council authorities. Every year many candidates appear for the JTET examinations and the selected candidates become eligible to join teaching positions in the Government schools of Jharkhand.
