The selection process will be based on the performance in the UPTET exam conducted by the Uttar Pradesh State Government. Applicants will be selected based on marks secured in the exam. Participants must also clear the final round which is a Personal Interview.

UPTET Exam Cut-off 2025:

Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board decided on the UPTET cut-off marks. Once the result is declared, the board will soon release the cut-off marks and merit list on the official web portal of the board. For the general category, the cut-off will be expected to be set as 60% (150 marks). And for the other than the general category (OBC/SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwD) is set as 55% (82 marks).

• After the result of UPTET is published, the cut-off list is released by the authorities.
• The cut-off list also depends on the total number of applicants, availability of seats, and difficulty level of the exam.
• Based on the UPTET cut-off, the conducting authorities prepare the merit list of all qualified candidates.
• All the applicants who qualify for the cut-off are awarded the UPTET Eligibility Certificate.

The Validity of the UPTET Exam Result Certificate:

The UPTET authorization is valid for only five years from the date of result announcement for all category candidates (residing in both reserved & unreserved categories). Candidates must preserve the certificate. Qualified candidates will be able to get their UPTET Eligibility Certificate from the District Education Board. To receive the certificate, you will need to provide a copy of the UPTET Exam Admit Card and Photo Identity Card.
