KCET 2024 Kannada Language Test Details:

To give the KCET in Kannada Language, candidates must have eligibility for the Government seats under Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannada and their main language must be Kannada, Kodava, or Tulu. The main purpose of this test is to check the candidate’s ability to speak, write, and read Kannada. 

To pass this Kannada Language Test, the candidate’s minimum passing marks for the Kannada language test for all Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates is 12 out of 50 marks in Kannada Language Examination.

The candidates who want to appear for this Kannada Language Test have to go to Bangalore as it is the only center provided by the authorities. It is a must-carry photocopy of the original documents of the parents, certificates, KCET Admit Card, passport size photograph, etc.

Use of Optical Response Sheet:

KCET Exam 2024 is an offline exam, i.e., pen and paper-based exam. Candidates will be given an ORS sheet which they have to fill to give their answers. There are four different options given alongside the question number. Candidates have to fill in the correct option. Suppose, the answer is A, then candidates have to fill the circle of the letter A. Similarly, the response is given for the other options as well.

  • Candidates will be provided a two-page optical response sheet (ORS) in the examination hall to mark their answers. The ORS will be two pages and will have the same layout.
  • The front page of the ORS is machine-readable. It is intended to leave impressions of all the responses on the second page.
  • Candidates should not split or disturb the alignment of the two pages of the OMR Sheet under any circumstances.
  • Candidates have to mark the answers to the questions on the first page of the OMR Sheet by darkening the suitable bubble.
  • Candidates have to use the BLACK BALL POINT pen for darkening the bubbles.
  • Candidates have to apply sufficient pressure so that a proper impression is made on the second page of the ORS.
  • Proper instructions for darkening the appropriate bubbles will be given on the question paper. Candidates have to strictly follow these instructions.
  • The second page of the OMR sheet will be given to the aspirants by the invigilator at the end of the examination.
