The O level is a Diploma course that is conducted by the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, NIELIT. The duration of the course is a year (2 semesters of 6 months each).The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, NIELIT organizes admission in the O-level course twice a year, which is conducted in July and January.
Any Applicants who have 10+2 qualifications or hold an I.T.I (Industrial Training Institute) certificate can take admission to the O-level course. The O-level course mainly focuses on enabling the students to acquire knowledge about Information Technology. It is also very helpful in making the basics of computer applications very clear to students.

O level course: The Minimum qualification set by the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, NIELIT for the O level course is (10+2) i.e Intermediate. The course duration of O level course is one year (2 semesters in 6-6 months).
After passing these two semesters, the students must give one practical and one project. The O level course mainly consists of 4 subjects in which M1-R4, M2-R4, and M3-R4 are compulsory. The O level course opens up many employment opportunities for candidates under the Central Government.

The O level Course Duration is of 1-year but if you take admission in NIELIT then the O level Course Duration becomes of 5-years. Applicants can complete the course in one year also but If for some reason you have not been able to give O Level Examination or you are not able to clear it, then NIELIT has a registration of every Applied Student which is for 5 years due to which within 5 years applicants can complete the course.

In order to get yourself qualified for the O level Course Certificate, applicants have to carry out one project successfully. However, no marks are assigned to it but after the completion of the second-semester students have to complete the project issued to them.
Once the project is completed the head of the institute will submit the project completion certificate of all the students who have cleared all the papers and have completed the project work to the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology for issuing the pass certificate.
The process to filling the O level Course Application form is divided into two parts: For Direct applicants and For Accredited Institute applicants. The registration process for both candidates is quite different.

The O-level Course Admit Card is released by the NIELIT only when the applicants successfully register themselves. The O-level Course Admit Card is provided to the candidates who have admitted themselves to NIELIT.
The NIELIT releases The O-level Course Admit Card on its official website. After the release of the notification, applicants can easily download The O-level Course, Admit Card. It is mandatory for the applicants to carry their O-level Course Admit Card and photo identity card for appearing in the examination.
The O-level Course Result is released by the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, (NIELIT) 2 months after the commencement of the examination.
The O-level Result is released in the form of a merit list by the NIELIT. The NIELIT follows the grading system. Candidates with less than 50% marks will be deemed to be unsuccessful.
Note That: The practical marks are not added to the O level Course Result but in order to get the O level certificate, it is necessary to pass practical examinations and finish the project.
