CAT (Common Admission Test):

CAT is the National level MBA exam that is conducted once a year for admission to the 20 IIMs (Indian Institute of Management) and other top Business schools across India. CAT Exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and it is an online Management test. CAT is conducted in English and the duration of the exam is 2 hours. Eligibility for the MBA Exam:

➤ Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream can appear for the MBA Entrance exam CAT.

➤ Candidates must get a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for the reserved category).

➤ Candidates who have appeared for their final year Bachelor’s Degree exam are also eligible to appear for the MBA Entrance Paper of the Common Admission Test. 

➤ There is no age limit for the CAT exam.

➤ The CAT exam consists of 100 questions and the duration is 180 minutes. The MBA Entrance Paper for CAT consists of 3 sections- Data interpretation and logical reasoning, Quantitative aptitude, verbal and reading comprehension.

CMAT (Common Management Admission Test):

CMAT is another important Entrance Exam for the admission of candidates to the top Management Institutes of the country. CMAT Exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency for the admission of the candidates to the AICTE affiliated Institutions. CMAT Exam is a computer-based online test and the duration of the exam is 180 minutes.

Eligibility criteria for the CMAT exam:

➤ Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline can appear for the CMAT MBA Entrance Exam.

➤ The candidates must be a citizen of India.

➤ There is no age limit for appearing for the CMAT exams.

MAT (Management Aptitude Test):

MAT is a National level MBA Entrance exam that is approved by the Government of India for admission of the candidates to 600 Business Schools across India. MAT Exam is conducted by the All India Management Association and it is held 4 times a year. MAT is a National level Entrance exam that is conducted in 3 modes- Computer-based Test (CBT), Internet-based Test (IBT), and Paper-based Test (PBT). The other modes of MAT exam are Paper-based and Internet-based test (PBT+IBT), Computer-based Test and Internet-based Test (CBT+IBT), and Paper-based Test Internet-based Test (PBT+IBT).

Eligibility criteria for the MAT Exams:

➤ Candidates must complete a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized University.

➤ Candidates who are in the final year of their Graduation exams are also eligible to apply for the MBA exam MAT.

➤ Candidates who have qualified professional degrees like CA or ICWA can also fill in the MBA Entrance Exam 2022 form for MAT exams.

The MAT exam is held for 150 minutes and consists of 200 questions. MBA Entrance Paper for MAT consists of the following sections- Data analysis and sufficiency, Mathematical skills, Indian and Global Environment, Language comprehension, Intelligence, and Critical thinking.

ATMA (Aims Test for Management Admission):

ATMA Exam is a National level MBA Entrance exam and is recognized by AICTE. ATMA is conducted 4 times a year in the Internet-based mode (IBT). ATMA is held for the admission of the candidates to 500 Management Institutes in India.

Eligibility Criteria for ATMA Exams:

➤ Candidates must complete the Graduation degree from a recognized Institute with a minimum percentage of 50%.

➤ Candidates must be a citizen of India.

➤ Candidates applying for ATMA must have a lower age limit of 21 years while filling the MBA Entrance form.

➤ The duration of the ATMA exams is 180 minutes and the total number of questions is 180. The mode of exam is online and the medium of the exam is English. The ATMA exam consists of the following sections- Analytical reasoning skills, Quantitative skills, and verbal skills.

IBSAT (Indian Business School Admission Test):

IBSAT is conducted by the IFCAI Foundation for Higher Education for the admission of the candidates to the Indian Business Schools across India. IBSAT is a computer-based MBA Entrance exam and selected candidates can apply for admission to 9 campuses of IFCAI Business Schools located in Hyderabad, Dehradun, Jaipur, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Pune, Mumbai.

Eligibility for the IBSAT Exams:

➤ Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

➤ Candidates who are in the final year of Graduation can also apply for the exams.

➤ Candidates must have English as the compulsory language. Those who do not meet this criterion must have a valid score in TOEFL/IELTS/ NELT exams.

➤ Candidates having a valid score in CAT/GMAT/NMAT exams can fill in the MBA Entrance form for IBSAT directly.

➤ The courses offered are MBA and PGDM. The questions are in the form of MCQ format and the total time of the exam is 120 minutes. Candidates are evaluated on the following criteria- Verbal ability, quantitative ability, reading comprehension, data adequacy, and data interpretation.

MAH CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test):

The MAH CET is the computer-based MBA Entrance exam for the admission of the candidates to different Management programs in the Institutes of Maharashtra. MAH CET is a state-level exam and the frequency of the exam is once a year. The MAH CET exam is held in March and is conducted in 48 cities of India.

Eligibility criteria for MAH CET exams:

➤ Candidates must qualify for the Bachelor’s Degree exam in any discipline with a minimum percentage of 50%(45% for the reserved category).

➤ Candidates who are appearing for the final year Graduation exams are also eligible to apply for the MBA Entrance MAH CET.

➤ Candidates with a valid score in the following exams like CAT/MAT/ATMA are eligible for admission.

The duration of the exam is 150 minutes and candidates have to answer 200 questions in the exam. Candidates are evaluated on the basis of the following skills- Logical reasoning, quantitative reasoning, abstract reasoning, quantitative aptitude.

MICAT(MICA Admission Test):

MICAT is conducted by MICA, Ahmedabad for the admission of the candidates to the Post Graduate Diploma in Management- Communications (PGDM-C) courses. MICAT is a National level exam that is conducted twice a year. Interested candidates must appear for CAT/XAT/GMAT to become eligible for the MBA exam MICAT.

Eligibility criteria For MICAT:

➤ Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree/equivalent in any discipline from a recognized University.

IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade):

IIFT is a National level Entrance Test for admission of candidates to the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. The IIFT exam is conducted in the online mode, once a year. The main purpose of the IIFT exams is the admission of the candidates to an MBA in International Business in any of the institutes located in Delhi, Kolkata, and Kakinada. The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency.

Eligibility criteria For IIFT

➤ Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree of 3 years in any discipline from a recognized University.

➤ Candidates must secure at least 50% marks(45% for the reserved category) in the Bachelor’s Degree exams.

➤ Candidates who are appearing for their final year Graduation exams are also eligible for the application for the MBA Entrance Paper of IIFT exams.

NMAT (NMIMS Management Aptitude Test) by GMAC:

The NMAT by GMAC is a National level MBA exam conducted by NMIMS University and other Management Institutes. The exam is conducted over a 75-day testing window and is held in the online mode. Candidates can schedule the test by choosing their preferred date, time, and venue for the test. There are a number of dates on which the exam is conducted within the testing window. The allotment of the seats for the Entrance exam depends upon the availability of seats at the test centre.

Eligibility criteria For Nmat

➤ Candidates must complete their 3-year Graduation in any stream from a recognized University.

➤ Candidates who are in the final year of Graduation can also fill in the MBA Entrance form of NMAT exams.

➤ Candidates must get a minimum aggregate of 50% in their Graduation exams.

The NMAT by GMAC is a computer-based exam that is conducted in English and has a time duration of 120 minutes. Candidates are evaluated on the following criteria- Language skills, Quantitative abilities, and Logical reasoning.

SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude test):

The SNAP test is a national-level management exam conducted by Symbiosis International University. The exam is held once a year and in 3 attempts. Candidates qualifying for the SNAP exams will get admission to one of the 16 Institutes of Symbiosis International University. The SNAP exam takes place in December every year.

Eligibility criteria For SNAP

➤ Candidates who have completed the 3-year Graduation program from any recognized University can appear for the SNAP exams.

➤ Candidates must secure at least 50% marks(45% for the reserved category) in the Bachelor’s Degree exam.

➤ Candidates who are in the final year of their Graduation are also eligible to apply.

OJEE MBA (Odisha Joint Entrance Exam Master of Business Administration):

The OJEE MBA is a State level Entrance exam for the admission of the candidates to the affiliated colleges of Odisha. The OJEE MBA is a computer-based Entrance exam that is conducted in 3 shifts. Candidates who fill in the MBA Entrance form for OJEE exams become eligible to apply for the MBA courses in the colleges of Odisha.

Eligibility criteria for the OJEE MBA exams:

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Institute.
